The Foreshore, Harbour and Air Space is coming alive on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 January to celebrate Australia Day. The Honeysuckle precinct will be the place to be from 5pm Wednesday with 2 action packed days will be full of fun events.
Featuring live performances on a harbour stage and an illuminated boat parade as well as amusement rides, food stalls and much more. There will be amazing fireworks displays over Nobbys Lighthouse and Dyke Point at the family friendly time of 9pm and will be synchronised to a uniquely Australian musical soundtrack.
The flat out program includes cross harbour swim races, ski racing, Ducks for Dollars and the popular tugboat ballet. There will also be flypasts, aerobatic displays, musical entertainment, ‘quick and dirty’ boatbuilding and horse and carriage rides.
Free parking will be available at Bolton Street Car Park on Thursday 26 January and there will be plenty of public transport options for everyone who would like to leave the car at home. So come along and enjoy the combination of the National Maritime Festival and Australia Day celebrations.
